THEME
The central theme of The Indigo Oasis anchors on helping the lost soul of an innocent murdered child join her mother and dog in the afterlife. The adventure blends surrealism, memories, time, and music with game play that is both mysterious and frenetic.
The Indigo Oasis is the first in a series of one-shot adventures designed by T. Elliot Cannon, also known as the YouTube content creator, Classic_DM. This digital book equips you with the information necessary to run this adventure for a single player or a small group of one to four players, maximizing your ability to imbue character, context, and conflict into your game session.
ACCESSIBLE AS A ONE SHOT FOR BRAND NEW PLAYERS
The adventure’s design allows the player(s) to dictate the play style the session takes while also serving as an accessible one-shot easily integrated into your campaign. In addition to this, the adventure taps into common ideas that even a first-time player can understand with no prior gaming knowledge (memories, music, and ghosts) which will prompt them to action without understanding the intricacies of the rules. As a one-shot with simple themes unbound to any specific setting, my goal is this adventure helps you recruit inexperienced players such as family, children, and friends to play or experienced players to try something different from the standard adventure blueprint. I took extra care to ensure it’s fun even if it is just you and one player.
